Diode or alexandrite laser: which is better?
An 808 nm diode is the universal working standard: it suits skin types I-V and coarse hair, with 3-5 mm penetration depth. A 755 nm alexandrite works better on fine light hair on fair skin (I-III), but carries a higher risk of burns and hyperpigmentation on darker skin. For a mixed clientele a diode is more versatile and safer.
Does a diode laser remove gray and light vellus hair?
No. An 808 nm diode works on melanin, so it is not effective on gray and light vellus hair. That is physics, not a flaw of the model. We say it upfront so you do not overpay for expectations.
